Senior Legal Counsel (Bilingual)

Location: Quebec│Salary Range:│Remote│ Full-time Permanent

Role Overview

Senior individual contributor role supporting an asset-based financial services business. Focus on secured transactions, equipment and inventory finance, commercial agreements, and Quebec regulatory matters. Acts as legal partner to business leadership.

Core Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, dealer, and customer agreements

• Advise on secured transactions, equipment leasing, lending, and structured finance

• Provide legal guidance on Quebec and federal regulatory developments

• Manage corporate governance and licensing requirements

• Maintain and update legal templates and processes

• Partner with Sales and Operations on commercial execution

• Ensure compliance with internal legal and compliance policies

Required Experience

• 8–10+ years PQE

• Top-tier law firm and/or sophisticated in-house legal environment

• Financial services background with strong exposure to:

• Secured transactions

• Equipment leasing and lending

• Inventory / vendor finance

• Civil Law degree

• Strong working knowledge of:

• Quebec Consumer Protection Act

• Register of Personal and Movable Real Rights (RPMRR)

• Fully bilingual: French / English
